Buy a seat instead of the whole bike, and ride with whoever else booked that slot.
Everything about the ride is the same. The only difference is that you're buying one seat rather than the whole sixteen.
We run these several days a week. Six passengers is the minimum for the bike to actually move, so a mixer has to fill before it rolls — book earlier in the week rather than the night of, and you're far more likely to ride.
It's the cheapest way onto the bike, and the way most out-of-towners and couples do it. You get the same driver and the same route as a private group, under the same rules — bring your own drinks the same as everyone else, and check the bar guide for what's actually on the route.

A private bike is $360 Monday to Thursday and $460 Friday to Sunday, flat, however many people you bring. Split across a full sixteen that's about $23 or $29 a head.
So if you can round up eight or more people, booking the whole bike is usually the better deal and you get to choose the bars. A mixer makes sense when it's one or two of you.
Either way it’s two hours, three bars and somebody else doing the driving.
